Gatlinburg will kick off the 27th year of Smoky Mountain Winterfest with the annual Gatlinburg Chili Cookoff and Winter Magic Kickoff on Wednesday, November 9th from 5pm-8pm.Smoky Mountain Winterfest : Cookoff and Winter Magic Kickoff : Moors On Mountain Tops. The annual winter kickoff takes place in downtown Gatlinburg with a ceremonial lighting of more than 3 million LED lights throughout the city while visitors sample chili from more than 20 area restaurants and businesses.
